Bangla Brigade and its thousand Brigadians

Bangla Brigade started its journey as a fan base officially from October 1, 2010. On that day, besides the first ever meeting with around 80 Brigadians at Dhaka University Faculty of Business Studies auditorium, Bangla Brigade opened a Facebook group to keep in touch and interact with all the Bangladeshi cricket fanatics of this fan base. And today, on October 27, 2010 (12:42 AM) Bangla Brigade’s Facebook group finally reached the 1,000 members milestone. (Luckily, when I checked in the count was 1,001 ^_^ )

As a fan base Bangla Brigade had a very smooth start by the grace of almighty. The passionate response from each and every Brigadians, the way the crowd in the gallery appreciated our way of supporting, the way media responded towards our activities and most importantly how the Bangladeshi cricketers played as everyone was there to support them was really astounding. So, the Facebook group growing at such rapid rate didn’t surprise Bangla Brigade because everything was saying that, IT WAS TO COME.

Bangla Brigade is really grateful to all the Brigadians, their friends & families, all the Bangladeshi cricket fanatics, the Bangladeshi cricket players whose great performance made it easier for Bangla Brigade to cheer them and everyone who supported our activities. Bangla Brigade really wishes to be there as the 12^th man for the Bangladesh Cricket team from now on, attending each and every match to cheer for the team whole-heartedly.

Watch out for the 'Bangla Brigade'

'Bangla Brigade' was formed based on the core belief that inspiration, positive thinking and support leads to motivated performance, which results as a success towards reaching ones’ goal. In our everyday life at our every step taken we wish that our work no matter is a success or not, would be appreciated to inspire us towards a definite achievement. So the coordinators, when forming ‘Bangla Brigade’ vowed that this fan base will be the unconditional supporter of the Bangladesh Cricket team. Whether a match is in their favor or not, ‘Bangla Brigade’ wants to be their always, beside the Bangladesh Cricket team cheering and supporting them. The motto of ‘Bangla Brigade’ is, “GO GO Bangla Brigade, GO FOR BD Cricket!” And ‘Bangla Brigade’ indeed was their beside Bangladesh Cricket team since the fan base’s debut as they have attended all the matches of the Bangladesh- New Zealand series and wishes to be there to support the BD cricketers in each and every match from now on.

‘Bangla Brigade’ had a great debut as a fan base because since ‘Bangla Brigade’ was there to support, Bangladesh cricket team won matches after matches. And such phenomenon lead many people to wonder that ‘Bangla Brigade’ maybe a lucky charm for the Bangladesh Cricket team (lol, who knows?? ^_^)
